CCTV footage has revealed how seven shoplifters entered Two Rivers Mall in Kiambu County on Sunday April 28, and made away with drinks worth Ksh. 100,000.
The suspects, four men and three women are reported to belong to a gang that is terrorizing business owners operating at the Two Rivers Mall.
The footage seen by The Kenya Times showed the unidentified suspects entering the shop just like ordinary customers at around 4:38pm.
Their plan was not to shop but to steal the products from the shop.
“There were four men and three ladies, but they were here to steal so when they were going around, we had two staff working one at the cashier and there was a lady at the floor,” one of the witnesses narrates.

The witness further recounted that the lady took beer valued at Ksh. 44,000 whilst being shielded by the man she was talking to.
Subsequently, she is seen walking through the entrance unnoticed by the cashier or anyone else.
Meanwhile, the other suspects are still in the shop, with one of them walking around inquiring about Robertson and other products.
The man who initially handed the beer to the first lady is then seen carrying additional cans of beer, pretending to be busy shopping while discreetly monitoring the situation to avoid detection.
He proceeds to select another beer from the same shelf and passes it to the second lady in a blue Jumper.

The lady also conceals the beer under her dress before successfully leaving through the entrance.
By the time security at Two Rivers Mall’s control room was alerted, the shoplifters had already left via Waterfront Road and the Northern Bypass.
The case was reported at the Runda Police Station and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation officers (DCI) are investigating the case.
CCTV unmasking Suspects
Detectives have in the past exposed criminals killing and stealing from hotels, banks, malls and homes captured by CCTV footages.
Recently, the DCI indicated that the main suspect behind Rita Waeni’s murder was captured on CCTV walking with her to the crime scene.
“Unfortunately, the prime suspect in the murder, a man only captured by CCTV cameras walking Rita to her scene of death remains in the holes, and the DCI Homicide team is sparing no resource in his pursuit,” DCI said in a statement.
