Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management, Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has proposed imposition of fees to Kenyans using Huduma Center services.
Moses Kuria made these remarks on Monday, October 16 as he officially took over the ministry from Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa.
Additionally, he noted that introducing a small fee for Huduma Center services would make the centers self-sustainable and reduce their dependence on the National Treasury.
“What of introducing a small fee for services offered? What of providing private sector services at a small fee? Venturing into E-commerce?” the CS stated on his official X account.
Moses Kuria: I will Transform NYS
In his remarks, the CS also noted that the National Youth Service (NYS), which is under his ministry will undergo a major transformation.

Furthermore, CS Kuria highlighted the 2015 scandal where an approximate of Kshs 791 million was stolen from the ministry’s coffers.
He expressed hope in NYS stating that the youth service will reengineer a great transformation in Kenya.
Also, the CS added that NYS will revive the agricultural sector, manufacturing, and further instill the culture of patriotism.
Moses Kuria further claimed that his ministry will not require President William Ruto’s constant supervision.
“I’ll henceforth relieve the President the task of following up on progress of the government’s projects and move around this country ensuring all is well,” he said.
Through the Ministry of public service, performance and delivery management, Kuria stated that he envisions to transit public servants from public employment to public service.

“It’s my vision that I’ll be able to transit public servants from public employment, where most of them believe they are in, to public service where the 900,000 of us should be, to serve the 54 million Kenyans as they deserve,” the CS added.
Further, on the issue, Kuria said the performance of civil servants has been dear to his heart.
