The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has temporarily closed the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport’s (JKIA) runway after a cargo plane’s attempted takeoff was aborted due to technical difficulties.
KAA also temporarily suspended all incoming and outgoing flights.
“Our top priority is the safety of all passengers, and we are working closely with the relevant authorities to resolve this situation as quickly and safely as possible,” KAA said in a statement on Monday morning.
“We regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time,”
