KPLC Faces Technical Hitch
KPLC faced a massive technical hitch on February 10 and 11 leading to the delay of token purchase for customers throughout the country.
The company confirmed the technical hitch on February 10 at around 4.20 PM.
In a statement, KPLC announced that the system was undergoing a delay in token generation and postpaid bill payment.
“We are experiencing a technical hitch which is affecting both our prepaid (token generation) and postpaid bill payment systems,” read part of the statement.
Kenya Power further revealed that they were working to resume normalcy within the shortest time possible.
However, this hitch led to thousands of Kenyans complaining, with a majority calling out the company.
On the same day at around 7:50 PM, KPLC issued an update noting that normal services had resumed in token generation and postpaid bill payment.
Despite the update, the lighting company was put on the spot as customers online still complained about delays while purchasing tokens.
