The lawmaker says the funds came from sources she did not disclose to facilitate mass protests with the aim of destabilizing the Kenya Kwanza government.
Speaking at AIPCA church in Thika on Sunday, March 20, 2023 during a thanksgiving event organized by Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, the MP claimed that Raila received the money at a hotel.

According to the Thika town legislator, the government has all the information on the transaction including where it happened and how.
She said they have “requisite pictorial evidence that can justify the claims”.
While warning Raila that his “old gimmicks” will not cow President William Ruto’s government from delivering on all the promises made to Kenyans during campaigns, the legislator took issue with the Azimio leader for “destroying businesses owned by members of the Kikuyu community”.
“We will spare the name of your financiers today but we know they are Kikuyus like me and they once held very powerful positions in government,” she said.
