The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has announced 233 vacant positions across various disciplines.
In an advert on Tuesday, March 19, KMTC announced that successful candidates will be deployed in its various branches across the country.
“KMTC Board of Directors seek to recruit competent, result oriented, knowledgeable, dynamic, visionary and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions tenable at the KMTC, Campuses,” read part of the notice.
Spanning a diverse range of positions, these opportunities offer candidates the chance to contribute to KMTC’s mission of training healthcare professionals and advancing healthcare delivery nationwide.
The institution is seeking to fill up to 20 lecturer positions in the Orthopedic and Trauma Medicine department, and 10 other tutors under Physiotherapy.
The Occupational Therapy and Public Health departments are aiming to hire ten lecturers each.
KMTC is also seeking applicants for other vacancies, including Assistant Office Administrator II, Library Assistant I, Accountant, Office Assistant, and Artisan. Each of these positions requires 20 individuals to fill the vacancy.
A total of 17 openings for the position of Receptionist II have also been posted for recruitment.
The Board also seeks to recruit 12 Clerical Officer II and five information Communication Technology (ICT) assistant II.

Other Positions Advertised
The college is also hiring twelve Clerical Officer II roles and five Information Communication Technology (ICT) Assistants.
Furthermore, there are ten openings available for Supply Chain Management Assistants, along with opportunities for Medical Laboratory Technologist II.
Additionally, the KMTC Board advertised vacancies for five ICT Officers, five Office Administrators, and five Librarians.
Other positions currently advertised are Human Resource Management Officer and Human Resource Management Assistant, each requiring two and three individuals respectively.
Also, the Administrative Officer and Administrative Assistant positions are open for applications, aiming to recruit two and three candidates respectively to fill these roles.
Vacant positions requiring only one post each comprise the Deputy Human Resource Manager, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Senior Legal Officer, and Human Resource for Health Technical Officer (Misingi Imara Project).

Applicants interested in the positions are required to submit their applications online through the College’s recruitment portal http://recruit.kmtc.ac.ke/jobs.
The application deadline is on Friday, 12 April 2024.
Their background and competencies also need to match the specifications.
Successful candidates shall be required to provide the following documents before issuance of the offer letter in compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010:
Certificates of clearance from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Other documents required are clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Key Points for Candidates to Note
i) Applicants should provide all the details requested for in the advertisement. It is an offence to include incorrect information in the application. Details of academic and professional certificates not obtained by closure of the advert should not be included.
ii) Shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce originals of their National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates, as well as transcripts during interviews.
iii) It is a criminal offence to present fake certificates/documents.
