Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, on Thursday November 30 gifted popular musician Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh one Ksh1 million during the lunch of Samidoh Foundation.
The event was held at Parklands Sports Club and was graced by senior government officials who contributed generously.
Gachagua, who was the chief guest, gave Ksh2 million, which included Ksh1 million from his boss, President William Ruto.
“President William Ruto sent me with one million, and I Rigathi Gachagua have one million. Thereby I have a total of two million shillings here,” he stated.
Notably, the deputy president as the guest of honor led other leaders in contributing toward the event as politicians could be seen handing over millions to him as he announced their names.

While reading the names, Riggy G jokingly told Senator Nyamu, “Leo hakuna Muziki utulie, leo ni siku ya kutoa pesa.”
Notably, Senator Karen Nyamu gave Ksh100,000 while Senate Speaker Amason Kingi donated Ksh250, 000.
Other leaders who contributed to the event include Senator Aaron Cheruiyot who gave Ksh250, 000, Edwin Sifuna Ksh100,000, Energy PS Alex Wachira Ksh100, 000, PS Defense Patrick Mariru Ksh100, 000, and Nyandarua Governor Moses Ndirangu Badilisha Ksh200, 000 among other leaders.
Gachagua Message
Before making his speech, Gachagua, Sport Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, Nyandarua senator Methu Muhia and other dignitaries present could not help but move to Samidoh’s musical prowess.
As the musician played his guitar, Karen Nyamu led the team of dignitaries on stage, where they danced their hearts out to mugithi vibes.
The deputy president impressed guests with his energetic dance moves on stage.
After the dance, Gachagua praised the musician noting that his music journey was a good example to the youths.
From a humble background to a super maestro in the Music Industry, the story of Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh is a beautiful one.

Additionally, Gachagua lauded Talanta Hela, an initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of Sports, Youth Affairs, and the Arts in order to identify and grow talent.
“We thank the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts, Ababu Namwamba, who this evening extended his support for Samidoh – for establishing strategic supportive structures for our Nation to harvest big from the Creative Industry,” he noted.
