Tanzanian boxer Karim Mandonga, popularly known as “Mtu Kazi” and Kenyan Daniel Wanyonyi are set for a rematch on March 18 at the Tsavo Ballroom in KICC Nairobi.
Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) President Reuben Ndolo has confirmed they have thus slotted a quick rematch for Mandonga and Wanyonyi.
“Wanyonyi has been training hard and this is his chance to prove himself as a top boxer. Rayton “Boom Boom” Okwiri, Fatuma Zarika, and UAE-based Nick “Makaveli” Mwangi are also set to take to the ring pending agreements with the promoter and their managers,” Ndolo said.

Mandonga defeated Wanyonyi last month in a well-attended bout at the KICC and the Kenyan now has an opportunity to prove himself in front of his home crowd.
Mandonga was meant to fight with US based Kenyan boxer Raymond Ochieng’, popularly known as “King Kong” but they are currently in different weight divisions, where the former is required to lose about 15kgs before they are allowed to contest.
