President William Ruto has reorganized his government two months after swearing in his first Cabinet.
On Monday, Ruto issued a fresh Executive Order reassigning some functions for his administration.
In the Executive Order No. 1 of 2023, the President published the new organisation of his government.
The order lists key roles of officials from the Deputy President to the Chief Executive Officers of State Corporations and State Agencies.
In the new structure, the President has moved the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) back to the Transport ministry.
NTSA had been transferred to the Interior Ministry during Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’second term.

The State Departments of Housing & Urban Development and of Public Works have been moved to the Lands Ministry.
The departments have been operating under the Roads and Transport Ministry.
At the same time, the President has placed the Hustler Fund under the State Department for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSEES).
Also in the changes, some of the roles from Public Health have been moved to Medical Services.
State Department of promotion has been moved to the Trade Ministry. The Ministry will now have three State Departments from the previous two.
The Tourism Ministry has gained one more State Department from the two in the previous administration.
The Ministry will now have the State Department for Culture and Heritage and State Department for Tourism and Wildlife.
Additionally, the President has split the Ministry of Environment by creating the State Department for Environment and Climate Change and that of Forestry.
