Former Starehe Member of Parliament (MP) Charles Njagua, commonly known as Jaguar, has delivered bundles of cash to the family of Sipangwingwi hitmaker Byron Muhando Kivisi on behalf of President Wiliam Ruto.
Jaguar presented the cash during a candle lit memorial service held on Wednesday, October 4, evening.
After giving a speech during the service, Jaguar delivered the stacks of cash which were carried in a gift bag, to Kivisi’s mother.
Further he stated that the money was meant for the close family and for taking care of the late hitmaker’s daughter.
“I am giving you this for the family and for his daughter Caro who is present today. I have now delivered the president’s message,” Jaguar stated.
“That is not all, the president has promised to stand with all other artists to ensure that we are present for the burial because our presence is also important. It is not just about the money.”

Jaguar on his Position as Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS)
At the same time, the former MP stated that he would exercise his duties as the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) of youth affairs and arts.
Jaguar stated that he would ensure adoption of reforms to help artists better themselves and earn from their ventures.
“I am happy to be here today. I know we have a case in court today, but it will soon come to an end. Also, I will be taking over the position of the assistant minister of Youth affairs and arts,”
Ruto Mourns Byron Muhando Kivisi
Son after Kivisis’s death, President William Ruto issued a statement mourning the artist who took part in the production of the “Sipangwingwi” hit song which featured in the 2022 election campaigns.
He described the deceased as a talented young man with a calm and collected demeanor.
Ruto also revealed that he first met the artist at the residence of the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in Karen during the recording sessions of ‘Sipangwingi’.

“Deeply saddened by the death of music producer and artist Byron Muhando Kivisi. Byron was first introduced to me by music sensation Xray during a music recording session of the hit song Sipangwingwi at the Deputy President’s residence in Karen,” the statement read in part.
