The President of the United States of America (US) Joe Biden travelled to Israel to show his support amidst the ongoing war against Palestine.
In a statement, President Biden announced his travel to Israel on Wednesday, October 18 before flying to Jordan for humanitarian needs.
“On Wednesday, I’ll travel to Israel to stand in solidarity in the face of Hamas’s brutal terrorist attack.
I’ll then travel to Jordan to address dire humanitarian needs, meet with leaders, and make clear that Hamas does not stand for Palestinians’ right to self-determination,” said Biden.
Biden further added that he was saddened by the explosion at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza and the terrible loss of life.
“Immediately upon hearing the news, I spoke with King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel and have directed my national security team to continue gathering information about what exactly happened,” he said.
Earlier, President Biden had announced that US government will support Israel against attack by Hamas terrorists.
“The US stands with Israel; we will not ever fail to have their back. We will make sure that they have the help their citizens need, and they can continue to defend themselves,” said Biden.
