The company has however earlier had its share of tragedy with the major one being in June 2009 where one of its aircrafts Air France crashed killing 228 people.
However, in April of 2023, a French court cleared Air France and Airbus of charges of involuntary manslaughter.
At the time, the Airbus A330 operated by Air France stalled during a storm and plunged into the Atlantic Ocean.
Also, during the hearing, the court said even if errors had been committed, a causal link between them and the crash could not be proved.
