Salt prices are set to increase from tomorrow Saturday, April 15, 2023.
Kensalt Limited Company General Manager Arpan Roy announced that an additional Ksh.1,000 plus VAT would be added to every ton produced.
According to Roy, the increase was occasioned by a subsequent rise in production costs.
“We wish to inform you that due to a continuous rise in the cost of production, we have been forced to increase our prices by Ksh.1,000 per ton plus VAT with effect from 15 April 2023,” read the statement.
“This one increase was necessary in order to continue supplying you with salt without fail.”
