The Super Metro fleet company has unveiled its first electric bus in efforts to support clean vehicles-clean environment.
The new bus will ply the Central Business District (CBD)- Kitengela and CBD-Kikuyu routes.
In partnership ship with BasiGo, and electric bus company, the PSV provided will have a 25-seater capacity.
The firm plans to supply more than 15 electric buses to transport saccos in Nairobi.
The model acquired by Super Metro is a K6, a 25-seat electric bus, with a 250-kilometer range and less than four hours recharge time.

The Super Metro Chairperson, Nelson Mwangi, said the company was focused on providing seamless services to customers at the same time preserving the environment.

In the same spirit, the Electronic Sector Association of Kenya (ESAK) earlier signed an MoU with the Association for Electronic Mobility and Development in Africa – a step towards improving the visibility of the transport landscape in Kenya and Africa at large.
