President William Ruto’s party UDA, has grabbed four slots allocated to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance in the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).
The move locks out UDA partners from the powerful commission.
UDA has picked MPs Faith Gitau (Nyandarua) and Mohamed Ali (Nyali) from the National Assembly and Senators Joyce Korir (nominated) and John Kinyua (Laikipia).

Additionally, Kenya Kwanza is pushing to have former Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker Isaac Terer picked as a non-MP member of the PSC.
PSC ,established under Article 127 of the constitution has 11 members.
The Speaker of the National Assembly serves as chairman while the Senate Clerk serves as its secretary.
The commission also includes a man and woman appointed by Parliament from among persons experienced in public affairs but are not members of Parliament.
On the other hand, the Azimio coalition has settled on Nyamira Senator Okong’o Omogeni (ODM), Sirisia MP John Waluke (Jubilee) and Mavoko MP Patrick Makau (Wiper) to serve in the commission.
PSC is responsible for providing services and facilities to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of Parliament.
It also constitutes offices in the parliamentary service and appointing and supervising office holders.
Additionally, PSC prepares Parliament’s annual estimates of expenditure and submits them to the National Assembly for approval, and exercises budgetary control.
