The kids who were aged 15 months, five years, and seven years, were allegedly murdered by the minor between February and July 2021.

After murdering her cousin back in 2022, the minor went back to her parents’ home in Waithaka on August 18 before being escorted to school the following day.
According to her confession report, she borrowed a phone from one of the teachers while in school on August 20, 2022.
The girl went on to call her parents, informing them that she was the one who was responsible for the murders.

Shocked, her parents rushed to the school the following day where she confessed to having murdered her cousin, identified as Martin Kiogora, by drowning him in a water well.
Notably, she made a chilling admission in the presence of teachers who advised the parents to go home with her.
She is the first born of the three other children whose lives were cut short.
The devastated father filed a report at Kikuyu Police Station against the then 15-year-old girl whom he accused of killing his three children.
Additionally, the minor was detained pending investigations.
Notably, the custodial sentence, an acknowledgment of the enormity of the crime, will see the minor spend the initial 2 years at a borstal institution.
In addition, she will serve the remaining 8 years at Lang’ata Women Prison, after attainment of the age of 18.
