A 24-year-old man in Siaya has allegedly stabbed his elder brother to death over food at Sirongo-Oware village in Central Alego location.
Lawrence Oduor Wayodi, is said to have attacked his 26-year-old brother Erick Otieno while demanding for food.
The deceased was preparing an evening meal when the suspect came in with his demands.
Otieno excused himself from their late parents’ kitchen and walked down to his house then came back after a few minutes, only to find the knife that he had used to cut tomatoes missing.

When Otieno asked for the knife, Oduor poured water into the fire then picked a fight with him before drawing the knife and stabbing him to death.
The suspect reported the murder to the area Assistant Chief who then called the police.
The suspect was taken into custody to help with investigations.
