Former NTV host popularly known as Dr. King’ori has made a comeback after announcing his exit from Nation Media Group more than a month ago.
King’ori who was known for his satirical show The Wicked Edition, made the comeback by dropping an exclusive video interview on his YouTube Channel on February 21, 2024.
The 1hr 31 minutes video interview was posted on his ‘The Wicked Edition with Dr.King’ori’ channel which boasts about 439,000 subscribers.
King’ori featured a military official in the interview as he navigated a Military General’s perspective of war.
“Dr. King’ori sits with Ambassador Brigadier general Dr. Wallace W. Williams, the honorary consul general for the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Barbuda to the federal republic of Nigeria, a military officer attaining the rank of Brigadier general for this interesting conversation that weaves through the world of a diplomat and probably the best explanation to the single parents’ boom,” posted the host.

While hosting his last show on Friday, January 12, Kingo’ri announced that The Wicked Edition would end its seven-year run through NTV’s mainstream.
However, the popular host stated that the end of the show was not a result of the station cutting off some of its editorial shows.
He explained that the show was not an editorial show, and he had a wonderful experience working with NTV.

“The Wicked Edition is not an editorial show and our relationship with NTV has been nothing but the best.
For all the 10 years that I have worked with Nation, I leave with nothing but good vibes.
We have laughed and gotten to know each other. We have had fun. The decision of this being our last episode with NTV is purely personal,” he stated.
He however assured his fans that the show may have come to an end on NTV, but it was turning on a new leaf.
Expansion
In addition, he stated that his show would expand to a new environment where it would continue with its creative endeavors and delivery of value-laden content across East Africa and beyond.
King’ori further assured Kenyans that the show will still stay true to the Kenyan culture even as it expands to new horizons whilst bringing people together through laughter.

The talented comic ventured into professional comedy in the 2010s where he worked as a scriptwriter.
Also, he has worked for various programs including playing the character ‘Kinyanjui’ on NTV’s The Trend, and other shows including the Churchill Show and Offside Show.
Aside from the comic and the laughs, King’ori has led in philanthropic acts through charity works that his show had been doing in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
