Dutch multinational brewing company, Heineken and Hey Neighbor Festival have announced their partnership to host Africa’s biggest music festival in Pretoria, South Africa.
According to a press statement seen by the Kenya Times, the 3-day event will run from December 8 to 10, 2023.
The venue for the festival will be the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria.
“The festival is set against the backdrop of Heineken’s months-long global 150th anniversary,” the press statement read in part.
Therefore, the festival is meant to highlight the brand’s commitment to embracing the joy of shared moments.
Furthermore, it will serve as a culmination of the anniversary celebrations.

“The announcement was made on October 11 at a media event in Johannesburg,” the press statement noted.
Particularly, to unveil the festival this year, Heineken will bring its stature and position as the world’s most international beer to this unique festival on the continent.
Performing artists at the Heineken-sponsored festival
The music lineup features some of the biggest music stars on the continent and across the globe.
The musicians set to perform at the festival include Kendrick Lamar, Rema, The Chainsmokers, Nasty C, H.E.R., Sauti Sol, Khalid and Focalistic.
Henceforth, festivalgoers are set to converge and revel in the joys of live music and shared moments.
Additionally, Heineken will bring its consumers and customers from around the entire African continent to converge at this festival and enjoy good times associated with the brand.

Moreover, Warren Le Grange, Creative Director, Khoi Kreative, organizers of the festival noted that the festival is envisioned to be a moment of connection for people with diverse cultures.
“The festival promises an immersive experience brimming with music, culture, delectable food, and an array of social activities,” Warren Grange explained.
The Hey Neighbor Festival
The Hey neighbor festival is dubbed Africa’s biggest music festival. It was launched in May, 2023.
Particularly, the festival is described as a moment of uniting people through music and connection.
At the same time, the festival offers a chance to escape from everyday pressures amidst the challenges that have been encountered in the past three years in South Africa.
Primarily, challenges experienced in South Africa include Covid-19, rolling blackouts, and water shortages.

The event tickets can only be purchased at Ticket Pro. Weekend tickets to the festival will cost R 3,999 (Kshs 31,376) while revelers will be expected to pay R 4,999 (Kshs 39,222) for the VIP experience.
Additionally, other sponsors for the Hey Neighbor Festival include soft drinks company, Coca-Cola and KitKat, a UK based confectionery company.
