Popular TikToker and content creator Oliech Jamjengo, known for his humorous videos has passed away.
Oliech Jamjengo’s untimely demise came months after launching his online TV.
Jiji Jabritish, a Luo radio presenter confirmed the news of his death on Wednesday, February 14.
“We’ve lost Oliech Jamjengo,” shared the presenter.
The TikToker’s journey in the digital space was marked by creativity and a passion for social issues.
With a large following on TikTok, where he entertained thousands with his impersonations of media figures, Jamjengo transitioned to a more substantial platform with the launch of Jamjengo TV in November 2023.
His aspiration was to use this platform to delve into original content that mirrored his vision and concerns.
However, the TikToker started facing health challenges shortly after the launch of his online news platform.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page on January 15, the content creator disclosed his struggle with an eye problem that severely impacted his ability to continue with his online TV work.

“Just after doing a few recordings, I had a problem with my right eye, as I speak, I am seemingly going blind on one eye,” Jamjengo shared on Facebook, expressing his distress and the physical limitations he faced due to the condition.
Tiktoker on struggling with Eyes Problem
The content creator further revealed that he had been advised to completely avoid excess light.
“I currently can’t be on camera because I have been asked to completely avoid artificial light and also reduce on natural light. It is very teary and with a sharp hitting pain, I can’t hold my head up for minutes.
I was advised to do an MRI and also to seek a neurologist. I did see a neurologist who has put me on a 40-day dose medication. During this period am to avoid artificial light,” Jamjengo’s post read in part.
Despite seeking medical attention, including consultations with ophthalmologists and a neurologist, the TikToker’s health continued to deteriorate.
According to one of his close friends, Brenham Muga William, Jamjengo was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly after the launch of his online TV.

“He was diagnosed with a brain tumor just a few days after the launch of his online TV.
He was first admitted to Jalaram Hospital in Kisumu but later transferred to Kenyatta Hospital,” Muga revealed.
As tributes pour in for the late content creator, his legacy as a talented entertainer and advocate for social causes will undoubtedly endure in the digital sphere.
