The United States of America Embassy recognized a Kenyan lady – Nyachomba that was featured in American Idol show.
In a statement on social media, the embassy on March 1 expressed support for Nyachomba Muchai on Season 22 of the show further celebrating her with a golden ticket on the American Idol.
“Golden Ticket. Rooting for Kenyan singer Nyachomba Muchai on Season 22 of American Idol Congratulations on earning a Golden Ticket,” shared US Embassy.
The singer had earlier shared the news of her performance on her social accounts.
“I’m going to Hollywood this is a dream come true. I’m so grateful to be able to sing for you all and that I got to sing one of my favorites @willowsmith songs thank you @katyperry @lionelrichie @lukebryan for saying,” shared the singer on Instagram.
In a video seen by The Kenya Times, the musician is seen showcasing her prowess by performing Willo Smith’s ‘Wait a Minute’ song.
RnB superstars, Lionell Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan back intact were the judges in the American Singing competition.
Moreover, judge Luke Bryan was notably impressed by the musician’s talent, labelling her audition as his standout favorite of the current season.

“Maybe my favorite audition or performance this year, thus far,” said Bryan amid excitement.
He further added that Nyachomba didn’t sound like a Broadway singer but rather a world stage entertainer.
“The most impressive thing is that you don’t sound Broadway. you are actually a massive singer,” he summed up partly.
Nyachomba Excites Judges at American Idol
Also, Katy Perry was equally enthusiastic, going above and beyond by proclaiming herself one of the Kenyan singers, biggest fan, and even orchestrating a music video moment, complete with a fan blowing her hair as she re-sang her audition song.
With approval from all three judges, Nyachomba received three strong “yes’s,” setting the stage for what seems to be an exciting journey on American Idol.
The 27-year-old describes herself as a dancer and singer.
She pursued communication from Lee University and kicked off her professional career as an Administrative Assistant at the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts.

A preview of her audition has been unveiled by the network, hinting that she delivered an outstanding performance.
The aspiring singer continued to follow her passion for acting and has been a principal actor at Roundabout Theatre Company and has featured in several Broadway musicals.
Now, she is making strides on a much bigger stage with her latest entry to the American Idol show.
