Kenya Airways (KQ) has announced they will cut the flight cost for their Mombasa-Dubai route launch in December 15.
According to an earlier statement, the carrier will operate the route four times a week on flight number KQ306, with the inaugural fare price active till December 17.
With the introduction of this new flight, KQ will increase its frequencies to Dubai to 14 times per week from 10 flights.
“The Mombasa-Dubai route introduction is key to KQ and strategic for the tourism and trade sector of our country as it will open up the coastal region of Kenya to more traders and tourists,” said Kenya Airways Chief Commercial and Customer Officer Julius Thairu.
With the new route, tourist will have a direct access to the Kenyan coast from the middle east, which will boost revenue.

The route also eyes those travelling to the Middle East for holiday or religious trips.
The region’s traders of electronics, clothes, and other consumer goods will also benefit from the belly cargo capacity that will be available on the flight.
Additionally, the flights offer increased capacity for direct exports of seafood and fresh produce directly to the Middle East.
KQ currently operates ten weekly flights to Dubai from Nairobi using a mix of B737-800 and the Dreamliner B787-800.
The flights are open for booking at KQ’s website, www.kenya-airways.com, travel agents and Online Travel Agents (OTAs).
The launch introductory fare price will be Sh37,573(USD306) promotion for a return ticket.
