Kenya Kwanza Leaders Against Azimio Protests
Several leaders from Kenya Kwanza camp have criticized the opposition blaming them for the lives lost during anti-government protests.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki warned that police will be ready to deal with protestors destroying and stealing property during the demonstrations.
Other leaders including Ndindi Nyoro, Dennis Itumbi and Kimani Ichung’wah also slammed Azimio leader Raila Odinga, claiming he is after ‘handshake’ and ‘nusu mkate’.
Moreover, Kenya Kwanza allies have since rebuked Azimio Coalition, noting that they will not allow President Ruto to engage in a ‘Handshake’ with the former prime minister.
While speaking in parliament on Thursday, July 27, National assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah said the government will not allow people to use violence, bloodshed, and anarchy as currency for political negotiations.
“It is time we say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH to the bloodshed, thuggery, and anarchy being fashioned as PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS. It is SHAMEFUL, DECIETFUL, and SELF-SEEKING to push for power at the altar of the blood of innocent Kenyans.” Ichung’wah noted.
While reacting to the video, Kenyans online had mixed reactions to Uhuru Kenyatta attending Azimio event.
