The Intersex Persons Implementation Coordination Committee (IPICC) has welcomed public participation on the Draft Intersex Persons Bill, 2023.
The bill is seeking to protect the rights of intersex people in Kenya.
Moreover, through the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), IPICC, is looking to acquire contributions from members of the public regarding the Bill.
According to an advertisement by the KNCHR, the bill is looking to provide for the equalization of opportunities, affirmative action and non-discrimination of intersex people and for connected purposes.

IPICC states that the invitation of public views is pursuant to the Constitutional requirement to involve the people in any law-making process.
As such, members of the public are required to submit their comments either electronically or through hand-delivery on or before 9th May 2023.
Furthermore, the public can email submissions to Iplmecretarlat@gmalLconi or physically to KNCHR-IPICC Secretariat CVS Plaza, Nairobi.
In addition, the Intersex Persons Bill, 2023 is available on the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights website.
