How 9-year-old girl impressed Ruto
Fortune Kangai, now known by her stage name Young Fortune, is a rising star, and her performance at the Kenya Music Festival State gala proved just that.
President Wiliam Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and other dignitaries rose from their seats dancing along Fortunes Song.
It was at the gala where President Ruto declared that the government would establish a music studio in each county to nurture talents that would help the likes of Young Fortune realize their dreams of becoming great musicians.
Ruto Scholarship Plan
Notably, the head of state shared a plan for those who had done exceptionally well at the State gala.
He was to work with the Ministry of Sports youth Culture, and the Ministry of Education to ensure training of exceptional talents in Kenya and beyond.
Ruto further directed the two ministries and the adjudicators to identify the best students to be offered scholarships.
