Assets linked to the Cytonn High Yield Fund (CHYF) have been placed under administration, with creditors now given 21 days to lodge their claims.
According to a gazette notice published on Friday, December 26, 2025, Tom Ouma Mungai, an insolvency practitioner at Nairobi Forensics LLP, has been appointed as the administrator over several entities connected to the Cytonn High Yield Fund.
The appointments took effect on December 18, 2025, under Section 534 of the Insolvency Act, 2015.
In a notice dated December 22, 2025, Mungai announced that he had assumed control over Cytonn Investment Partners Eleven LLP (Ridge) and all its assets subject to qualifying charges.
“I, Tom Ouma Mungai, an Insolvency Practitioner at Nairobi Forensics LLP, P.O. Box 3672-00506, Nairobi, hereby notify all the stakeholders that I have been appointed under section 534 of the Insolvency Act as the Administrator over Cytonn Investment Partners Eleven LLP (Ridge) and the whole of its assets subject to the qualifying charges with effect from 18th December 2025,” read the notice.
Administrator Appointed Over Cytonn High Yield Fund Assets
The administration covers assets secured under loan note instruments and security agreements associated with the Cytonn High Yield Fund claims.
In a separate notice, Mungai confirmed his appointment as administrator over Epazec Company LLP (Applewood), following proceedings involving Goal Advisory Africa Limited, acting as trustee for the Cytonn High Yield Funds.
A similar appointment was also made for Cytonn Investment Partners Ten LLP (Taraji), as detailed in one of the notices published in the Gazette notice.
Under the appointments, the administrator is empowered to exercise all powers conferred by the Insolvency Act, including taking control of, managing, and realising the charged assets for the benefit of creditors.

However, the process remains subject to the lifting of existing preservation orders and, where applicable, the consent or approval of the Official Receiver, who is acting as liquidator of Cytonn High Yield Solutions (CHYS) and Cytonn Real Estate Projects LLP (CPN).
“All creditors and interested parties are hereby notified to submit their claims and supporting documentation to the Administrator within twenty-one (21) days from the date of this notice,” Mungai stated in the gazette announcements.
Creditors have been directed to submit their claims to Nairobi Forensics LLP either via email or through the firm’s Nairobi postal address.
