Former Citizen TV reporter Kimani Mbugua on Saturday, October 14, announced the launch of a new show named “UnBroken”.
In an update on his social media, Mbugua stated that the show would premiere on Sunday, October 15.
According to him, the show will entail interacting with people on the streets and giving them an opportunity to tell their stories.
Further, Mbugua explained that his belief that everyone has a unique story was a key factor in settling for the show.
“UnBroken will be our space to talk about what we often don’t talk about. Help me spread the word by sharing,” he appealed.
In addition, Mbugua expressed his gratitude for the support accorded to him on his way to launching the show.
“Imagine I wouldn’t be here without you,” he stated.
Shortly after the announcement, Mbugua’s fans on social media expressed their delight with the development coming weeks after he appealed for help.

Kimani Mbugua gets help from Tik Tok star
Mbugua, who made his name during his stints at NTV and Citizen TV, left tongues wagging after he shared video pleading for help from well-wishers.
In the video, the former host of the “Broken News” said that he had recovered from a bipolar disorder after a lengthy struggle.
In addition, Mbugua revealed that he was homeless at the time and was looking for a well-wisher willing to help him have a fresh start.
The former TV host revealed his plans to set up his own consultancy company and start a TV and hence pleading for an investor to support his ventures.

“I have lost so many things, I have lost so many friends in the journey,” he appealed in the video shared on social media.
“People got tired of me and I’m in a position where most people are not willing to help because they said that they are tired.”
Days later, a popular TikTok star in Kenya came to his aid and mobilized a fundraiser that raised over Ksh400,000.
Mbugua, 37, had previously worked at NTV, Citizen TV– where he won accolades due to his unique skill set and delivery of content.
Despite having a superb start to his journalism career, his hopes of advancing in the field were slowed down after a hiatus occasioned by his struggle with bipolar disorder, among other challenges.
